A quiet night at home...

Tonight, over bowls of homemade chili and still-warm-from-the-oven cornbread, we celebrated the coming of winter with our first fire of the year.

Here's to warmth.

I seems that every time I come here I leave wanting to run out and consume gallons of coffee or eat something amazing.

You have the "Age of Innocence" effect on me. That movie ALWAYS makes me hungry and wanting to throw a dinner party.

Yes, I am now convinced that you and V kick Ma and Pa Ingall's asses in the "I want to chop down wood, make a fire, and cook earthy, comfort food." department.

That is a complete compliment, BTW.

I read those books every night for two years straight. Jonathan finally kicked me of the habit by telling me he was beginning to be attracted to Pa Ingals. It was never the same after that.

Damn him.

Wow. My comment was longer than your post. Not good. Not good at all...

Especially when he is on the tv series. Especially when he cries. Did you ever notice, though, that for a pioneer series, they have Michael Landon shirtless a LOT. That, and I doubt that his "Soul Glow" hairstyle was really in vogue back in MN in the 1890's.

outside ones as well.
With hot chocolate :)
