Wreck This Journal :: Stress Reducing Activities.

“Every act of creation is first of all an act of destruction"
~Pablo Picasso.

This is the post where I break in my new book. I'm quite positive that there were other things I should have been doing, but what can I say? I was feeling inspired. ;)

The Next Chapter: Wreck This Journal by Keri Smith.

Oh girl that was RAD!!!! So cool to see you in your element with your pooches. Very cute. Loved how it ended with dogs tongue painting on YOU! BTW, you must've been reading my mind, as I had thought of putting food on my journal for Emmett to lick off this week ;)

Oh! And I forgot to mention that I had a similar idea! At the end of the book there's a page where you write other ideas for wrecking the journal and I wrote (playing fetch w/ dogs!) So fabulous to see it come to life!

Yee Haw! That's the most inventive start I've seen. Love the canine participation too! My next mission will have to be "seek and destroy".

What a fun video. Loved how you broke your journal in.
Love how you are giving yourself time to play. I need to do that too!
Thanks.

Maggie and I LOVED watching this video this morning while we ate our breakfast and colored in our copy of Wreck this Journal.
Love you Friend!

Jessie, I love that you got the dogs in on the act, I am sure if you had put peanut butter in that circle they would have taken care of that page too!

Picasso also said that the chief enemy of creativity is 'good' sense. Somehow I think he would have enjoyed journal wrecking with us - what do you think?

wow. awesome video. love watching the dogs interact with the book. I think they need some more peanut butter to work on that tongue painting.

it just occurred to me that I can enlist my kids in wrecking this journal. Especially for the things that I just can't do... like the chew on the page thing. That's like fingernails on chalk board for me. Can't do it. But my 2 and 4 year old can.

Yeah.

Wow, what a great video! I love your comments in the middle about being creative, and your inner child. You have some good insights, here. And I really like the chaotic (film-wise) ending with your dogs showing their appreciation for playing along!

I, too, have fallen prey to the artistic possibilities in Wreck This Book! Mine has yet to arrive via mail, but I've stumbled across your blog and discovered that an amazing community of 'Book Wreckers' exists! I couldn't have picked a better time to dive in. Thank you for sharing a bit of yourself and your artistic journey. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

First of all..love yur page layout.. love your dogs/ and you made me laugh outloud.. I love that too I'm still a bit hung up on" to create is to destroy".. sounds so deep.. i'm more likely to say.. To destroy is to create. ya know???
