"Louis" {pronounced Loooo-ieee}

"Louis"
10"x 30"
Oil on Canvas

This is my little guy, Louis. Well, actually, he's not so little anymore, but... ;)

Today I'm looking forward to spending some time pulling together ideas for my website--the one I'm building for my pet portraits. Slowly, slowly I'm stitching together the life I want. Last night I started on my third canvas--sketching out an image of Chester, a lovable Cocker Spaniel. Tonight I'll block in the colors.

All of this is such a process, threaded in between the other demands of my life. I am so impatient for everything to start manifesting itself FULL SCALE! And at the same time I have absolute faith that it's going to happen. Ok...so today's lesson: patience. Someone please tell me, how does that work?

Jessie, I love this painting so much! Just wait---everything for you is on your way. Patience is trusting that it will happen at the right time and not too fast. Believe it or not, I think I'm struggling with the "too fast" part and am having trouble integrating my success :) So you don't want it too fast...just right at the right time when you're ready!! xxoo, O

Louis is absolutely gorgeous! I am so excited! I know I made the right choice in asking you to do my Trixie portrait. And knowing you are doing it, my sorrow at her loss is receding, strangely.

Patience? I think it's a one day at a time thing.

Pet Portraits - SO much fun! GREAT work, Jessie - I love your not-so-small pup and how you have captured his sweet personality so perfectly! Looking a little sleepy, but willing to be rambuncious at a moment's notice.

Amazing. And thanks, Jessie, for your e-mail. I'm really excited for a Monty painting. Even in your writing, you seem to really understand him---All the adjectives you used describe him well. Thank you!! I miss you :)

Yep, that's my beloved Louis. I'll bet I could show that to Madam and SHE would recognize him.

*sniff* we all need to get together.

You are amazing, dear. xoxo, M

Wow your Louis painting is wonderful, as is your other art. I used to paint in oils, and sometimes I miss it. Thinking about getting back to it. Good luck with your website animal art venture!

Oh, it's beautiful! Again I love the angle and the deep colours, you're so talented. :) Can't wait to see more. For me patience is figuring out what it is I'm supposed to be doing now. It's a bit like being bored, whenever I realise I'm bored I think there is something I should be doing or feeling and I'm not - what is it?
